The deadlines to drop or withdraw from a dual credit course at your high school are different from the deadlines for a course taken at CSI (either in person or online). Make sure you check the correct dates for your specific class.
If a course is full you can request to be waitlisted. You are required to submit a request to Enrollment Services from your CSI email account*.
An email notification is sent to your CSI email if you are added to the course.
*Please note - the submission request must come from your CSI email account. Requests from other emails will be denied.
If you're taking a dual credit class and need to drop or withdraw, it's important to understand the difference between the two and to follow the correct deadlines.
For dual credit classes taken at your high school, you'll follow the Early College deadlines. You can drop your class online through DualEnroll until 5:00 p.m. on the Wednesday deadline listed on the Early College website. If you miss that deadline, you may still be able to withdraw, but different rules apply. See the section on withdrawals for more information.
Note: If you are taking a CSI class online or on campus (not through your high school), you'll need to follow the regular CSI academic calendar, which has different deadlines listed in the CSI Academic Catalog.
If you decide early that a class isn't right for you, you can drop it by the drop deadline. This is also called "abandoning" a course.
Dropped classes do not appear on your college transcript
Any tuition charges will be refunded
You can drop a course online through your DualEnroll account
The deadline to drop is 5:00 p.m. on the Friday listed on the Dual Credit homepage
If the drop option does not appear for the course you want to drop, please email dualcredit@csi.edu with the following information:
Our office will process the drop on your behalf. Emails missing any of the required information may result in delays or failure to process the drop.
If you miss the drop deadline but still want to leave the class, you can withdraw-but there are some things to keep in mind:
If you earn a W or F in a class paid for by Advanced Opportunities funding, your funding will be suspended. To get your funding back, you will need to:
Pay out of pocket for your next course(s)
Successfully complete those courses

If you miss the deadline to add, drop, or withdraw from a class, you may still be able to request a change by submitting an Enrollment Appeal Form to the CSI Office of the Registrar.
Fill out the Enrollment Appeal form
Your appeal must include proof of extenuating circumstances, like a medical issue or emergency
Appeals without supporting documents will not be accepted
